What Advice Would You Give To People of the Same Sex Who's Age Range is of Your Last School?

Not necessarily of the actual school but if your in high school, what would your advice be to current middle schoolers, current middle schoolers, elementary, and so on.

For me, my advice to all high school girls is to always date a nerd, if possible. They will treat you the way you want to be treated(for the most part :)

Studying really does work(lol).

Girls are catty. It's in our nature, especially as teenagers. What Advice Would You Give To People of the Same Sex Who's Age Range is of Your Last School?
...when blood rushes to the head...think with your mind...What Advice Would You Give To People of the Same Sex Who's Age Range is of Your Last School?
I'd tell girls not to be in a rush to grow up and do mature things because it will come with time, and by doing it too early could possibly lead to many preventable problems.

  • Why do I give advice to people but I can never follow it myslef?

There are many things in my life that I know I need to do to be happier with my life but have not been emotionally capable of achieving these things.

But simply because I haven't found the emotional capability to do those things doesn't mean I don't know that they would benefit me if I did them. Therefore, I can recommend that others do the best they can to achieve them theirself.

It's only hypocrisy if you are capable of doing the thing you tell others they should do, but choose not to do it yourself. Why do I give advice to people but I can never follow it myslef?
Humans have knack for choosing the precise things that that are worst for them - Albus dumbledore. Why do I give advice to people but I can never follow it myslef?
advice is easily given but following is not .think of the ones u gave the advise to they may be watching u and see u do the opposite not good example..u asked
It's easier to assess a situation when you are not involved in it. You are not facing the intense emotions of the situation. Sticking to the steps you talk about for others is a challenge that you can step up to. ';It's easier said than done'; kind of explains it all.
When you give advice to other's is objective when you have to take advice it's subjective. It's easy to tell other's what to do because if they don't' follow our advice, it's not personal and it does not affect the rest of our life. IF it's advice that we're to apply to our own life's that's a lot different. It might change the rest of our lives or change something very intimate in our lives. That can be a really scary thought and idea. It's so much easier when it's not our lives that are directly affected by the advice.
See that's the beauty of it. You can give advice like no one other. But when it comes to your life, and when you are in the shoes of the people you give advice too, all thinking goes out the window.
Absolutely...that happens to me too. Maybe because we have the scenario and we know what to do but we don't have the guts to do it. I really don't know. I always give advice to people but when it comes to myself, I'm confused with what to do or which way to go.
Simple: Nobody's perfect! Everyone is hypocritical sometimes, some people more then others. Try to think about your actions before you do them, or when you're giving advice make it realistic advice. If the people you were advising are noticing that you're being hypocritical tell them that even you haven't mastered at ____. Tell them to not pay attention to you and to shine in your own light. Also try to work on it you're own. But don't be too hard on yourself.
i do this. it's called laziness. lack of effort.

Going to Lisbon with severe fish allergies, need advice from people who live there preferably with allergies?

I have really severe fish allergies, as in, I get a reaction just being around fish that is cooking, or sitting next to other people eating it, or touching things that people who didn't wash their hands after eating fish also touched. I am thinking of going there but I'm not sure if I will constantly be bombarded with minor or major allergic reactions. Hopefully someone in my exact situation with regards to allergies who has already lived there can comment on

my chances of survival and things they did to cope. Also, if you visited there, or in a similar part of the world, with the same sort of fish allergies, your input would be appreciated as well, or if you personally know someone in the same situation and know how they managed, that could be helpful as well. I know already, and I already take a number of sensible precautions; I'm looking mainly for site-specific advice or warnings. Thank you for reading this question and for your feedback.Going to Lisbon with severe fish allergies, need advice from people who live there preferably with allergies?
Stick to reputable resturaunts, and take the same precautions you normally would. As long as their staff has some measure of diligence, they can prepare a dish that should be safe from cross-contamination.

Just be sure to tip accordingly. They're probably going to greater-than-usual lengths in Spain, where seafood is a staple.Going to Lisbon with severe fish allergies, need advice from people who live there preferably with allergies?
I'm not sure whether Janne was saying Lisbon is in Spain or whether in Spain, seafood is more of a staple than in Portugal. The question is not addressed simply to restaurants, and asks for more than the most generic advice possible. I am baffled as to why this answer was picked.

Do you think that they eat, cook, touch nothing but fish in Lisbon? Take the same precautions as you would where you live now. This isn't hard.
I don't know about Lisbon or Fish allergies but I now live in Korea and am severely allergic to milk. Some things I would suggest from my experience there are that you bring any medications you need for first response reactions and learn how to say ';I'm severely allergic to fish.'; I'm not sure if Medicalert has offices in Lisbon but find out if they are connected to the system and register with them and wear the bracelet if so. You can also get them made personally if they aren't connected and can have them engraved in any language. At the very least write it on a piece of paper in both English and Spanish and put it in you wallet or somewhere else that people might check in case of emergence. ie your passport.

Advice for people trying to lose weight?

What advice would you give someone trying to lose weight?

Write anything you think about weight loss here?

:)Advice for people trying to lose weight?
You have to be mentally prepared first. Set a goal, and just do it. Even if you have to force yourself. Eventually you will lose wait. Then you will be motivated. The more you lose, the more you will want to meet your goal.Advice for people trying to lose weight?
easiest way it, exercise 15-30 mintutes eery day, eat lots of fruits, drink tons of water, and stay away from pizza , hamburgers and those stuff lol,

eat many little meals , instead of breakfast, lunch n dinner, u can eat like a small meal and a fruit each hour or so
i'd say join weight watchers...it really helps. but if you don't want to spend money, just stick to a good diet [more veggies and fruit, less saturated fat], don't eat as much fried food, or try backing/ broiling more foods than frying. also, start a basic excercise regime to tighten your body as well as lose the weight. if you start exercising though, dont be alarmed if your weight doesn't change too much if you see results; muscle weighs more than fat.
Stay away from pills, crash diets, gimmicks, and diet-branded products like Slim Fast.

Enjoy a variety of healthy low-fat, high-fibre foods, and watch your portions. Stop eating when you are full.

Get some exercise, even if it's only a little. You don't need to work out for hours a day. Going to the gym for 30 minutes, 3 times a week is better than nothing. Walking around the block at lunch is better than nothing.

Set realistic goals. if you've tried losing weight in the past, you probably have an idea of what your body can and can't do. I know that my body will never weigh 125 lbs, even though that is supposed to be a healthy weight for my height. Expect to lose no more than 1-2 lbs per week. Anything more than that is unhealthy and not sustainable in the long run.
    To lose fat:

Strength train for 30 鈥?45 minutes, 2-3 times a week

Cardio for 30 minutes, 2-3 times a week

Get a pedometer and walk 10,000 steps a day

Decrease your calories by 250 calories a day.

Limit your consumption of white foods: white bread, white sugar, white potatoes, white pasta and white rice.

Limit your consumption of saturated fats and trans fats.

    The best strength training exercises:

    Squats 鈥?Lower Body

    Lunges 鈥?Lower Body

    Push-ups 鈥?Chest %26amp; Triceps

    Pull-ups/Chin-ups 鈥?Back %26amp; Biceps

    Shoulder Press 鈥?Shoulders %26amp; Triceps

I lost 140 pounds and to stay motivated I focused on my future improved health and appearance.
the body part you gained the weight first will be the last to lose
Eat healthy watch your portion size do yoga once a week and 3 times a week get up and move it walking, dancing, house cleaning with music, make sure what ever you do you enjoy it you'll lose more that way b/c you'll be more likely to stick to it. be sure to da yoga or some type of streaching once a weak
The best way I've found to lose weight is to set small goals to your overall goal and reward yourself along the way. Basically, your overall goal would be, for example, to lose 40 pounds in 6 months. To reach that goal you have to set a reward for yourself. So, your reward for reaching your long term goal would to go for a weekend to the beach to show off your new body. While you're losing weight, you set short term goals (a small goal that will help u reach ur long term goal) so, ur short term goal would be to lose 10 pounds every 2 weeks. It actually works, and it helps you stay motivated. if you slip up you don't feel as bad because your not worrying about losing tons of weight all at once.

Also, the book You On A Diet is great for losing weight. It has exercises, food help, and pretty much everything you need to live a healthy life and lose weight.

Oh, and remember fat weights the same as muscle so some weeks you'll notice weight loss and other weeks you wont. You can't target one area of your body to lose weight in. You lose weight equally all around your body. I suggest not judging your weight lose by the scale, but by body measurements.

Do you actually take the advice people give you on Y!A?

just because you choose someone as best answer, do you really take their advice?

for instance, if they tell you to stop being someone's friend, question a teacher, tell your parents something, etc. do you actually do it?Do you actually take the advice people give you on Y!A?
It depends on what it is. Usually I just read what everyone says, see if their answer actually applies to my situation, and then make up my mind for myself.

It's really more of a suggestion, when I ask on here.Do you actually take the advice people give you on Y!A?
I've only asked like 4 serious questions on here. I take advice from my contacts that I talk to, but not usually from questions.

Some times I come here as a last resort though. It's so much easier to say stuff to people on here than it is in real life.
I actually don't ask advice questions, but when I do, yes, I take the advice. I do it BEFORE I choose the best answer, though, as not to give ten points to an answer that didn't work or didn't help.
Sometimes I do. If the advice is good, then why not take it? Besides, I think the advice given here is sometimes the best because the person giving it doesn't know you, and therefore it's not biased.
I take the advice and sometimes I use it, sometimes not.
i usually ask fact based questions lol

like questions from my science textbook lol

but if its a decent answer ill usually use it

other times ppl just give u garbage advice
Only if the advice is good and has a good point to it.
No... it's easier said than done.

plusssss they gotta know the whole story, and to know the whole story you'd have to tell like an essay
    No...I'm pretty shy.

I only take the advice and use it, when it's something I would be capable of doing. :D
it depends on the question i ask

but sometimes i do cause some people really do know what they are talking about
Depends on the question. But usually nah.
I never ask questions for advice lol

    =]
    sometimes....
    sometimes

depends on the question and answer
    Not usually....

    lol.

    I just like wasting points.
    grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr i am a rino
    yesss

Help do Patent Attn';s give Free Advice to People with no money?

Are there free Patent Attn';s that take cases for People who cant afford one and can get paid later for their Service can I get any Contacts ?Help do Patent Attn';s give Free Advice to People with no money?
Probably not. If you're lucky, you might be able to find a patent attorney who is willing accept a percentage of sales/royalties in lieu of payment. It certainly is not common, but I guess it doesn't hurt for you to call around.

You might also consider filing a provisional patent application, which usually can be filed with substantially less cost than a non-provisional patent application. A provisional patent application can give you some time in which to gather up money or find investors.

What astrological advice would you give to people who are looking for a job in this bad economy?

Like what aspects should they look at, what transits to look for.

I mean, hopefully the economy will improve soon. Pluto in Capricorn...could go either way. What astrological advice would you give to people who are looking for a job in this bad economy?
Contemplate the placement and potential of transiting Saturn and Pluto in your natal chart as well as the 6th and 10th houses.

Doing your Saturn (work) is part of why you're here (on Earth). Being in the groove with it tends to attract a great many things, and a good distraction from some of the more trying headlines.

Also, encourage yourself (and others) on their skills and talents - everyone has something to give, this may be the time to bring it forth or back even. What astrological advice would you give to people who are looking for a job in this bad economy?
get your birth chart analyzed to know the right dasha and transit for you to get a job. Wait for your personal auspicious time by preparing for it.

    Vedic astrology

I can't speak on astrological terms in this sense. But, believe me, my mind is on the issue daily.

Well, more than one source of income is better than one, which is why I chose to keep my second job. I hate working 7 days a week, but I've always got disposable income.

If you can...go back to school. I work in the real estate industry. Needless to say, I'm lucky to have a job right now. I'm not waiting for hell to break loose, I'm going right back to school next year for my masters.

For people still in undergrad....if you think it could suit you, try education and health care. At least you will always be employed.

For women in child-bearing age.....hold off on having a kid temporarily, until things stabilize. If you want a baby go ahead, but people are losing jobs left to right. It doesn't seem smart right now to build a family.
I think the best advice is to be practical. Get a position u have experience and expertise in since they will be more competitive to get.

In the meantime, get anything that pays decently and u can survive with. it's better than not working and keeping ur stress level low.
I am not a professional astrologer ; but I know this ;; here the signs who would be lucky for work and even some of them will make more money than ever especially those who are born on the first decan of each of those signs ;;; Pisces ;Taurus ; Virgo ; and Scorpio ; because Pluto make a trine to their sun
    Take any job

    Something is better than nothing

    Take into consideration

Benifits vs Pay(lower pay with good benifits)

Travel time /cost vs Pay (cost to upkeep a vehicle vs Bus/Train)

How much is it going to cost YOU for that job.
