What advice would you give people of this generation?

For 'elderly' people, what advice would you give our generation especially teenagers today? What advice would you give people of this generation?
PLAN and execute those plans. Ask yourself what kind of life you want . What kind of car you want to drive and where you want to live and make a plan to get it !!Don't be the one who is 23 years old looking at your other friends with nice cars and nice apartments because they finished school and work ,and you still are the one saying how lucky they are ,when they worked hard and sacrificed. What advice would you give people of this generation?
This was good advice then and it is good advice now ( in my mind )needs to read a couple of times to get the meanings clear .....

I read this now and then to remind myself of the wisdom contained therein...

A prose poem by Max Ehrmann 1872 鈥?1945

Go placidly amid the noise and haste, %26amp; remember what peace there may be in silence.

As far as possible be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly %26amp; clearly; and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant; they too have their story.

Avoid loud %26amp; agressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain %26amp; bitter; for always there will be greater and lessor persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs; for the world is full of trickery.

But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many people strive for high ideals; Be yourself.

Especially, do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity %26amp; disenchantment it transcends time and space. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

Nurture strength of Spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome disipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees %26amp; the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therfore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive God to be, and whatever your labors %26amp; aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its shame, drudgery %26amp; broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world.

Be Careful. Take Care. Strive to be Happy.
