Is your advice different if they are thinking of going in with friends? What advice can you offer people who are buying into a time-share for a boat?
On the up-side, you share all the costs which means you will save a great deal of money.
Obviously, the more partners you have, the fewer the costs but you also reduce your opportunities to use the boat because you are sharing with more people. It's a catch-22 situation, really. What advice can you offer people who are buying into a time-share for a boat?
I didn't know they had boat timeshares. But if they are anything like a regular timeshares I wouldn't do it. You will never get your money back out of it. And something inevitably will come up when its your week to use it.
A common experience is getting frustrated because the boat is not available when you want it. You end up living your life around the shared calendar.
