Gravity helps to move the baby down and thererfore soften the cervix, this too is done by semen, so having plenty of sex will also help with the onset of labour, additionally, try drinking raspberry leaf tea or/and eat a hot curry, i bet you are getting to the stage where you just want your baby now, i was like that too and to be honest i think we all feel like it, good luck with everything. :)I m 39 wks pregnant, people advice i start walking as an excercise, how does this relate to the onset of labor
Walking helps the muscle in your pelvic area relax more and open up more so that you can dilate more. If you have a treadmill or stairs at home available it is much better to use that way if you feel you need to stop you can always sit down when ever you want. You might feel a lot more pressure but that is just your body doing its job.
it helps b/c of gravity!
