I mean, what are the odds that you're going to hit another jackpot or continue that lucky streak on that or any other games in that same night?
If you ask casino employess what you should do, they'll tell you it's your ';lucky night'; and to go for it.
If they know just how bad the odds really are, then how come they give this bad advice to the person who ';just won big';?Why do casino employees give the advice that people should keep playing after they just hit a jackpot?
You're kidding right? Casino employees are just that, CASINO EMPLOYEES. Of course they'll tell it's your ';lucky night'; and to ';go for it';. The odds of you hitting a second time are dramatically higher than the first. Therefore, chances are you'll lose the money back and not take any profit from their bottom line. The longer you play, the more you will LOSE. The odds are always in favor of the house, not you. Sure lightening can hit in the same place twice, but if you survived the first strike, what are the odds of surviving a second strike? If you hit a jackpot, collect the money and leave, or buy yourself something nice (show tickets, food, drinks, whatever). Getting back to the employees, if people keep hitting jackpots two or three times, their jobs are likely at stake, so: hint, hint, ';It's your lucky night! Go for it';!Why do casino employees give the advice that people should keep playing after they just hit a jackpot?
I've been to Vegas 6 times....have won a few jackpots, and have seen lots of people win jackpots.....but I've never seen an employee advise anyone to keep on playing. If they hand pay, they always say ';Good Luck'; as they walk away. As far as the odds are concerned, after you win a jackpot, the odds of you winning another one are the same as before you won the first one. The jackpots are purely random, and the same machine could give up 2 jackpots in a row, and the next machine, not pay in a month. My wife won 2 $500 jackpots, at the same machine within an hour....Remember....it's entertainment. Have fun, and don't plan on making money.
Many casino employees are addicted gamblers who play for the house to save their own money. Don't ask them what to do. It is your money and being conservative and taking the money and running is not a bad thing to do. I love leaving a winner, even if it just a few bucks.
I play the slots and have won a few jackpots (handpay) and have won two small ones in the same night, the most recent being $10K. Never, and I mean never, have I ever had a casino employee encourage me to continue playing. Usually they congratulate you, pay you, thank you for a tip, and wish you luck. Why would you ask a casino employee what you should do with your money? If you want to keep playing, keep playing...if you want to stop, stop. Everyone that plays in a casino knows the risks. If you can't afford it, don't play.
And for chitowncf, Casino employees are no different from other employees at other companies, they are working to pay bills just like you and me. How many casino workers have you talked to that have told you they are addicted gamblers? Grow up.
Becase it gives the casino more $
So you can loose you money and then the casino gets their $ back.
the answer lies in front of you. coz they're working in the casino, for the casino. that's it. :D to put it harshly, they want you to lose what you have gained. because luck does not always strike twice. :)
when gambling, the odds are played against you, so if you do get a jackpot, keep it, don't Gamble it. if the staff tell you other wise, there only thinking for good of the casino, witch is bad, because my brother works for a casino and he is trained to convince people to stop gambling when they win, to help prevent addiction.
Hint after hitting a Jackpot that is a good time to ask for a comp the bigger the Jack the bigger the comp
Because they want to make more money from you.
they want you to spend all the money you just won and give it back to them. So you end up not winning any money and in turn they get extra money from you. Once you win you should stop and leave with your winnings.
Because they want you to give them their money right back. They don't want you to walk out with all of that money. They play on your greed to always have more.
