What job is it to give people advice?

i like to give people advice and if people are feeling down i make them happy by talking to them. its not really counceling that i'd like to do its more of a random person giving advice type of thing, like agony ants in mags but except like a real convosation. i dont know what job it is called so. . thats why i came here to ask. do you know any jobs simular?What job is it to give people advice?

You might call it being a therapist but, really, you could call it what you like 'life coach', 'spirit guide' ... whatever. In my opinion, what you call it is less important than what it is. I think we have to be careful when we seek to help other people to do it in ways that empowers THEM and enables THEM to develop the solutions that will sustain them. If this is a service you'd like to offer, you might get more clients if you have completed a recognised course of study and belong to a recognised professional body. Do you think there might be a course you could study that would help to focus your ideas on exactly what you'd like to do and who you would like to help?
It could be a psychologist of even a school counselor. Some social work jobs also include counseling. Whatever you do, you will need basic grammar, spelling and communications skills to succeed.





You could go to school more for a Psychiatrist or mental health fields. Ask your guidance counselor and anyone else you know in the medical field. You will need patience, listening skills, and confidentiality.
